League Play USBC considers the coronavirus as an emergency situation and, therefore, the unanimous consent of all team captains (Rule 122) requirement for leagues to change the schedule does not apply. ARLINGTON, Texas – Five United States Bowling Congress Youth members were selected to receive an Earl Anthony Memorial Scholarship in recognition of their academic achievements and contributions to their communities. Recipients were selected by the International Bowling Campus Youth Committee from submitted applications and each receives a $5,000 scholarship. USBC POSTPONES OR SUSPENDS NATIONAL EVENTS UNTIL MAY 1 ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) is postponing or suspending nationally conducted USBC events until May 1, 2020, due to COVID-19 safety concerns. This includes the USBC Open Championships, USBC Women’s Championships, USBC Convention, USBC Masters and USBC Senior Queens. USBC COVID-19 UPDATE The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) has postponed or suspended scheduled national events through the end of April due to concerns about COVID-19. Additionally, until further notice, USBC is suspending staff travel unless travel is deemed mission critical to the organization. USBC recommends USBC state and local associations also postpone or suspend mass gathering events, meetings and travel in the best interest of public health. While individual state and local requirements related to mass gatherings are evolving, USBC recommends associations be proactive in considering the wellbeing of their members. March 13, 2020 After careful consideration, the officers of Long Island USBC have decided to suspend the tournament schedule until April 5, 2020. As we come to the end of this period, we will re-evaluate our decision based on the situation at that time. While this decision was a tough one to make, we feel the health and safety of our membership is our first priority.  Together, the officers have agreed that every effort will be made to reschedule each tournament that is postponed.
