LIUSBC ADULT TOURNAMENTS
The LIUSBC is pleased to announce it will resume a limited schedule of adult tournaments. Due to the pandemic, we were forced to suspend all events last March. While COVID is still prevalent, we believe the formats and procedures created will allow us to run safely.
When planning which events to run, our goal was to offer different formats that would cater to the majority of our members. We are pleased to announce an upcoming scratch event, a fun handicap tournament, and a doubles event (scratch and handicap.) These three events will take place throughout Long Island making them as convenient as possible for most of our bowlers.
We hope you can participate in our adult tournaments. Please note the LIUSBC will be introducing new procedures to protect all entrants. Masks must be worn at all times by entrants and spectators. A maximum of 6 bowlers will be assigned to a pair to encourage social distancing. Bowlers will not move lanes during the entire event due to NYS regulations. And most important: PLEASE PREPAY YOUR ENTRIES. THE LIUSBC IS WAIVING ALL CREDIT CARD FEES TO ENCOURAGE PREPAYING. THIS WILL HELP PROTECT THE SAFETY OF THE TOURNAMENT STAFF AND ENTRANTS.
LIUSBC’s goal is to bring back our major tournaments as soon as possible. This includes the Masters and Senior Masters. Once NYS allows bowlers to move pairs, and permits events to run finals, we will announce the dates of these prestigious events.
NYC USBC MEMBERS NOW WELCOMED! The LIUSBC is opening our events to USBC members that live in any of the 5 boroughs of NYC. Anyone that lives in the 5 boroughs and is a sanctioned bowler may compete in LIUSBC events. If you are a sanctioned NYC USBC member you will be required to pay the $11 local sanction fee (one time per season) to compete in an LIUSBC tournament. LIUSBC WELCOMES OUR NYC FRIENDS!
