Thousands of Dollars in Scholarships Every Year
The LIUSBC is extremely proud of its youth programs. We have a very active youth committee led by Diana Walter who also serves as President of LIUSBC and Director Marlene Mirabile. The LIUSBC awards thousands of dollars in scholarships every year which is overseen by SMART.
The LIUSBC runs many youth tournaments throughout the year. At our youth events the kids can earn scholarship money. In fact, the LIUSBC adds money to each youth prize fund to increase scholarship payouts.
The cost to sanction a youth bowler is only $10 per year. The LIUSBC keeps $6 of each youth sanction and sends $4 per child to USBC. One-hundred percent (100%) of the youth sanction money goes towards scholarships.
Youth Committee: MISSION: The committee is responsible for monitoring, promoting, reviewing and recommending youth programs conducted by the association.
