Levittown, NY: The LIUSBC crowned it first champions of the season as Darren Barlow, Babylon, NY and Alex Cavagnaro, Massapequa, NY teamed up to shoot a 553 in the final shootout to win the $1,500 top prize at the Storm Doubles Championships held at Levittown Lanes. Finishing in second, and earning $800, was Alfonso Knight, Queens, NY and Marissa Gargiulo, Brooklyn, NY with a 448.

The Storm Doubles Championships advanced the top 2 teams from each of the 3 qualifying squads to a final shootout. Finishing in third place was Natalie Villemure, Levittown, NY and Brian Ziesig, Levittown, NY with a 442 worth $480. Fourth place went to Steven Collins, Jamaica, NY and his son Quentin Collins, Orange, NJ with a 435 worth $300. Fifth went to Andrew Mienkiewicz, Deer Park, NY and Adam Chase, N. Babylon, NY with a 433 worth $275. The final spot in the shootout went to Fabrizio Cerutti, Melville, NY and Paul Bajorski, Islip, NY with a 428 worth $250.

The LIUSBC Storm Doubles Championships drew a total of 43 teams and paid out $3,805 in prize money including $1,000 added by the LIUSBC. Cut scores to advance ranged from a low of 1394 to a high of 1463. High series was shot by Fabrizio and Paul with a 1495.
