Centereach, NY: The LIUSBC is pleased to announce it has chosen its new Association Manager; Karl Nystrom from E. Meadow, NY. Karl replaces Jackie Delawski who resigned the position to concentrate more on her computer programming job. Jackie will remain with the LIUSBC as a director and oversee Karl until he is completely comfortable in his new position.

Karl is a perfect choice to be the new association manager. He is an avid bowler, competing in 2 leagues, plus has a background in accounting as a former auditor for 2 different banks. He was also a business analyst for the New York Stock Exchange for 24 years.

Karl, who is 53 years old and married 29 years to Donna, a special education history teacher at Great Neck South High School, currently works part time at Herrill Lanes where he has bowled for over 30 years. Karl is a lifetime Long Islander graduating from Garden City High School in 1984 and Adelphi University in 1988. Karl has six 300 games and three 800 series to his credit. He is also a Kegler Tournament Champion (November 1988) and used the winnings to buy his future wife an engagement ring.

Karl is currently acting as an interim association manager until he is voted in by the LIUSBC Board on October 29th. His responsibilities will be to handle all office calls, process the high score awards, sanction all leagues, be the liaison with USBC, oversee all banking and accounting activity for the organization, and handle all rule and league questions. Karl will be supported by an office staff and many of the LIUSBC volunteers.

The LIUSBC welcomes Karl Nystrom to our organization and we are confident he will lead us to many good years ahead. A special thanks must go to Jackie Delawski for taking over the LIUSBC last year under very difficult circumstances. She hands over the reigns to Karl with the LIUSBC in a very strong position thanks to her hard work and dedication.
